Position Summary
As Lead Systems Engineer for Fleet Innovation & Transformation at Wabtec, you'll take ownership of designing and deploying next-generation MCA systems that drive efficiency and reliability across our global fleet operations. This leadership role combines deep technical expertise with strategic oversight, giving you the opportunity to shape how Wabtec's fleet infrastructure evolves in the digital age.
What You'll Do
- Lead systems architecture design for fleet maintenance, control, and automation platforms serving multiple operational divisions
- Oversee end-to-end implementation and optimization of MCA solutions across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute fleet innovation initiatives
- Establish technical standards, architectural frameworks, and strategic roadmaps for fleet systems
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system performance, reliability, and decision-making capabilities
- Build and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience leading large-scale systems engineering initiatives in transportation, fleet operations, or logistics environments
- Expert-level knowledge of maintenance management systems, industrial control systems, or automation platforms
- Proven track record designing and deploying enterprise-scale systems architecture and integration solutions
- Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated success managing technical teams through complex transformations
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, IoT technologies, and modern data systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience in systems engineering
