Role Overview
As a Youth Soccer Coach with Community Sports Partners, you'll deliver high-quality instruction and mentorship to young soccer players in the Mississauga area. You'll build on players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and love for the game whilst fostering a positive, inclusive team environment. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on developing youth athletes and help them achieve their personal and competitive goals.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate training sessions focused on technical skills, fitness, and tactical awareness
- Manage team dynamics during matches and provide constructive feedback to athletes
- Develop individualised coaching plans to help players progress and reach their potential
- Maintain a safe, supportive training environment and uphold safeguarding standards
- Coordinate with parents and other coaches on player development and team schedules
- Assess player performance and adapt coaching methods to suit different abilities and learning styles
- Contribute to team morale, organisation, and the broader community sports programme
Qualifications
- Recognised coaching qualification or equivalent experience coaching youth soccer
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals and modern coaching methodology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young athletes of varying abilities
- Valid criminal record check or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to complete
- Commitment to player safety and child protection standards
