About the Role

As a Youth Soccer Coach, you'll work directly with young players to build fundamental skills, tactical awareness, and a genuine enthusiasm for competitive and recreational soccer. You'll be the driving force behind creating positive athletic experiences that extend far beyond the pitch.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate soccer training sessions that focus on technical skill development, fitness, and game strategy
  • Coach youth players during competitive matches and tournament play, making tactical adjustments and providing real-time feedback
  • Assess player abilities and create individualised development plans to help each athlete improve
  • Ensure all training and match environments prioritise player safety, health, and wellbeing
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about player progress, attendance, and team expectations
  • Maintain equipment, training facilities, and records in compliance with organisational standards
  • Model professionalism, sportsmanship, and leadership both on and off the field

Requirements

  • Proven experience coaching youth soccer at various age levels
  • Strong knowledge of soccer rules, tactics, and player development methodologies
  • Current or eligible First Aid and CPR certification
  • Clear background check and commitment to child safety protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes in both individual and group settings
  • Relevant coaching certification (such as from Ontario Soccer or equivalent governing body) preferred
