What This Role Involves

As a Youth Soccer Coach with Community Sports Partners, you'll lead training sessions and matches for girls across our development program, focusing on building foundational technical skills while fostering teamwork, confidence, and a love for the game. You'll work with athletes at various age groups and ability levels, designing progressive training plans that challenge players while keeping development age-appropriate, engaging, and fun.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver skill-focused training sessions covering passing, shooting, ball control, positioning, and tactical game awareness
  • Coach matches and make in-game tactical adjustments while providing constructive feedback to players
  • Assess individual player development and adapt your coaching approach to support different learning styles and abilities
  • Build and maintain a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing effort, sportsmanship, and personal growth
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about player progress and program updates
  • Ensure training and match environments meet safety standards and follow best practices for youth coaching
  • Manage team logistics including equipment, attendance tracking, and session organization

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven youth soccer coaching experience or strong competitive playing background
  • Solid knowledge of soccer technique, tactics, and age-appropriate player development
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills with young athletes
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or commitment to obtain)
  • Flexibility for evening and weekend session scheduling
  • Dedication to creating a respectful, inclusive environment for all participants
  • Organized, detail-oriented approach to program planning and delivery
