The Opportunity

intent designs and engineers intelligent connected hardware: wearables, smart audio, health tech, and sensor systems. Since 2008, we've partnered with market-leading clients to bring device-connected experiences to life. You'll own the mobile application layer on real client projects, handling Bluetooth protocol implementation, device integration, and real-world debugging. Whether using Flutter, native iOS (Swift), native Android (Kotlin), or combining all three, you'll make the technical choices that define the user experience on the mobile side. This engagement starts as full-time freelance (time and materials basis), with a genuine pathway to our permanent team after a three-month evaluation period, contingent on work quality, project continuity, and business timing.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Own the mobile development strategy for connected-product projects from architecture through shipping
• Implement robust BLE communication layers that handle real-world radio complexity
• Debug subtle device-interaction issues that only surface in production environments
• Collaborate across firmware, backend, design, QA, and product teams
• Shape technical decisions and architecture rather than follow predetermined specifications
• Communicate directly with clients to understand product goals and constraints
• Integrate AI tools into your development workflow as productivity multipliers

Who We're Looking For

• Production experience with BLE protocols in shipped mobile applications
• Proficiency in Flutter, native iOS (Swift), native Android (Kotlin), or any combination
• Comfort debugging device communication, hardware integration, and wireless edge cases
• Tendency to ask "why" and challenge assumptions rather than simply execute
• Direct communication skills with clients and stakeholders
• Perspective on AI tools as essential daily utilities, not gimmicks
• Genuine curiosity about the physical devices connecting through your mobile code
