About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical technology organization in München that is seeking a Working Student to support release management and automation for their clinical imaging platform. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in healthcare software quality assurance, regulatory vigilance, and DevOps processes.

This working student position is available for up to 20 hours per week with flexibility during exam periods. Regular on-site presence at the Munich office is required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track medical imaging software incidents across public and internal regulatory databases (BfArM, MAUDE, CID) using manual research and automated workflows
  • Support software development and release cycles by testing new features, bug fixes, and release candidates
  • Maintain and continuously improve testing environments to ensure stability and readiness for validation activities
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring tasks related to incident monitoring, testing, and release management
  • Assist project managers with day-to-day coordination and operational tasks
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout the full software development lifecycle from early concepts through to final release

What We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled at a university studying computer science, health informatics, medical technology, life sciences, or a related field
  • Background or strong interest in biomedical imaging
  • Genuine interest in medical device safety, vigilance data, and regulatory compliance
  • Structured, detail-oriented approach to researching and documenting findings
  • First experience with or strong interest in software testing, QA concepts, and release/deployment processes
  • Basic programming or scripting skills with enthusiasm for automation
  • Experience or willingness to learn GitHub workflows
  • Structured, independent working style with high reliability
  • Good command of English in a professional environment; German is a plus
