Working Student/Intern Sales & Business Development (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS company in the industrial technology sector. Our client is seeking a Working Student or Intern to support their Sales and Business Development function in Cologne. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full sales cycle while working with advanced software solutions that serve manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, customer segments, and sales performance data to generate actionable insights for portfolio and sales management
• Support lead qualification through structured research and data-driven assessment processes
• Maintain CRM data quality, ensuring accurate customer and opportunity information across the sales pipeline
• Contribute to international go-to-market initiatives through market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and market entry support
• Prepare commercial documentation including quotations, order confirmations, and standard contractual materials
• Coordinate preparation, documentation, and follow-up for customer meetings, sales reviews, and internal alignment sessions
• Support sales and marketing activities including campaigns, events, and digital initiatives from initial contact through customer onboarding
• Collaborate with customer onboarding, customer success, and marketing teams

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration or related field
• Available for a six-month internship or working student position (shorter durations may be considered based on availability and experience)
• Ideally, initial practical experience through internships or student roles in customer service, marketing, or customer-facing functions
• Highly organized with ability to work independently and demonstrate strong ownership and reliability
• Advanced communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
• Enthusiasm for digitalization and willingness to learn B2B SaaS solutions for industrial processes
• Hands-on mentality with readiness to take ownership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent language skills in both German and English (C1 level or higher)
• Willingness to work from the Cologne office at least one day per week, with additional in-person collaboration welcomed
