About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a working student to support their Enterprise Risk Management function with automation, AI integration, and workflow development. This role reports directly to senior finance leadership and focuses on building intelligent, automated processes within a modern GRC platform.

You'll work with cross-functional teams to configure workflows, integrate systems, and implement AI-assisted solutions that make risk management more efficient and transparent. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded student who wants to see how automation and artificial intelligence solve real operational challenges in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Configure end-to-end workflows in the GRC software platform, including data fields, status logic, escalations, responsibilities, and automated notifications
• Integrate the GRC system with collaboration tools (such as Slack, SharePoint, Outlook) via APIs and workflow automation platforms, enabling stakeholders to provide updates within their existing work environments
• Identify repetitive manual tasks and replace them with automated workflows that request information, distribute tasks, monitor deadlines, and trigger follow-up actions
• Build practical AI-assisted solutions for risk management use cases, such as information structuring, assessment preparation, data completeness checks, and report summarization, while ensuring traceability and quality
• Develop test cases, validate workflow logic and AI outputs before deployment, and document configurations, interfaces, and dependencies for team reference
• Ensure information is captured completely and consistently, and automate the flow of status data into executive and board reporting
• Collaborate with business units across the organization to understand requirements and communicate technical concepts clearly

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a comparable program
• Practical experience working with software, automation, or data through coursework, side projects, or previous roles
• Technical aptitude and genuine interest in understanding new software platforms, configuring workflows, and grasping technical relationships
• Bonus: Experience with workflow tools, low-code/no-code platforms, ticketing systems, or GRC software
• Strong interest in exploring how AI applications and automated workflows can improve risk management processes, with a critical mindset toward validating results
• Ability to think in data structures and understand how systems communicate via interfaces
• Bonus: Familiarity with Excel, SQL, APIs, or process modeling
• Structured working style with the ability to break complex processes into clear steps while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Flexible availability to balance studies with work commitments
