Travel IMC RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Gifted Healthcare seeks an experienced Travel IMC RN to join our Intermediate Care Unit in El Reno, Canadian County, caring for complex patients requiring skilled nursing intervention. About the Role

As an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients with acute, serious medical conditions requiring close monitoring and expert clinical judgment. You'll work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise directly influences patient outcomes and recovery.

What You'll Do

• Assess and monitor patients with complex medical conditions including diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, renal and hepatic failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, hematologic disorders, malignancy, sepsis, and respiratory compromise
• Manage multi-system organ failure patients and those in critical transitional phases of care
• Administer medications, manage IV access, and monitor therapeutic responses
• Perform direct patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and comprehensive charting
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient treatment plans
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and discharge planning
• Maintain safe, HIPAA-compliant documentation and communication

What We're Looking For

• Current, valid RN license (Oklahoma)
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care or intermediate care nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a dynamic setting
• Professional communication and teamwork orientation
• Flexibility, reliability, and commitment to patient safety
