About the Role

This part-time position is central to our Dayhab program's success. You'll work alongside our team to support individuals with disabilities during structured daytime programming, helping them develop practical skills, pursue personal goals, and participate actively in their community. Your consistent presence and genuine care create the foundation for real, lasting growth.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, and self-care assistance
• Help individuals develop and practice life skills that build independence and confidence
• Facilitate community engagement activities and outings that enrich participants' lives
• Document progress, observations, and concerns according to program standards
• Communicate regularly with supervisors, therapists, and family members about participant goals and achievements
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming Dayhab environment
• Respond with patience and flexibility to individual needs and preferences throughout the day
• Model respect, dignity, and person-centered values in every interaction

• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with participants and staff
• Capability to provide physical assistance safely and comfortably
• Reliability and punctuality for part-time scheduling
• Reliable transportation to our Iowa City location
• Ability to follow care plans, documentation requirements, and safety protocols
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to be part of an interdisciplinary team
