Travel Emergency Room RN in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a full-time Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a position in Shenandoah, East Baton Rouge Parish. Join our clinical team and provide critical care to patients during their most urgent moments.

About the Role

As an Emergency Room RN at this Baton Rouge-area facility, you'll deliver rapid assessment and intervention for acute medical and traumatic conditions. This travel nursing assignment combines the clinical intensity of emergency medicine with the flexibility of healthcare staffing work.

What You'll Do

• Perform rapid triage and patient assessment to determine acuity and prioritize care needs
• Obtain comprehensive patient histories and document presenting symptoms and clinical findings
• Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized patient care plans with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with life-threatening or acute conditions
• Monitor vital signs, patient responses to treatment, and changes in clinical status
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members
• Maintain thorough, accurate medical records in accordance with facility standards and regulations

What We're Looking For

• Current Louisiana RN licensure
• Demonstrated experience providing care in an emergency or acute care setting
• Ability to rapidly assess and respond to acutely ill or injured patients
• Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to remain calm and organized during high-acuity situations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications or ability to obtain them
