PRN Emergency Room RN Job in Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a full-time Emergency Room RN to join our team in Vance, Tuscaloosa County. As an ER nurse, you'll provide expert bedside care and clinical excellence to patients during acute medical and traumatic emergencies.

This full-time Emergency Room RN position in Vance places you at the front line of emergency medicine. You'll work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment where your nursing skills directly impact patient outcomes during their most vulnerable moments. From rapid assessment through discharge, you'll deliver the skilled, compassionate care that defines emergency nursing.

What You'll Do

• Perform rapid patient assessments, documenting presenting symptoms and chief complaints
• Obtain detailed medical and surgical histories to inform clinical decision-making
• Develop individualized patient care plans in partnership with physicians and the clinical team
• Execute nursing interventions for patients with acute, life-threatening conditions
• Conduct triage procedures to prioritize patient flow and resource allocation
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status, recognizing changes requiring immediate physician notification
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and comprehensive nursing documentation
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and adjust interventions based on patient response

What We're Looking For

• Active RN licensure in Alabama
• Clinical experience in emergency or acute-care nursing (preferred)
• Strong critical-thinking and clinical assessment abilities
• Ability to maintain composure and focus in high-pressure situations
