About the Role

As a travel nurse in the emergency department, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, managing acute medical situations with clinical expertise and compassion. What You'll Do

• Assess patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions, documenting presenting complaints and conducting comprehensive health histories
• Perform rapid triage to prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical need
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Manage nursing interventions for patients experiencing life-threatening emergencies and critical illness
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to patient changes with clinical judgment and protocol adherence
• Provide patient and family education, support, and advocacy throughout their emergency department stay
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and communicate effectively with the care team

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Oklahoma or compact state license
• Minimum 1–2 years of emergency department nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (required); PALS preferred
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Professional communication and teamwork across departments
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to travel assignment protocols
