PRN Infusion RN Job in Somerville , New Jersey

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a committed Infusion Registered Nurse for a full-time position based in North Plainfield, Union County, New Jersey. In this role, you'll provide specialized care to patients receiving intravenous therapies, assessing individual needs and delivering comprehensive nursing care under physician direction.

What You'll Do

• Assess, plan, evaluate, and implement individualized patient care plans based on physician orders and patient-specific needs
• Administer infusion therapies including chemotherapy, hydration, blood and blood products, medications, and other solutions through appropriate vascular access devices
• Maintain and monitor central catheters, peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), and other infusion access points
• Monitor patients closely during and after infusion administration, observing for adverse reactions and complications
• Document all patient assessments, care delivered, and outcomes in medical records
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about their infusion therapy and self-care instructions

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey
• Experience administering intravenous therapies and infusions
• Strong knowledge of IV medications, chemotherapy safety protocols, and infusion equipment
• Ability to assess patients and respond promptly to complications
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Detail-oriented documentation practices
• Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
