About the Role

As a travel ICU nurse, you'll work directly with hospitalized patients requiring intensive monitoring and specialized medical intervention. Your role centers on acute patient assessment, rapid decision-making, and compassionate care delivery in a dynamic environment where your clinical judgment directly impacts outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic parameters, and patient responses to treatment
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and communicate clinical changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and other prescribed therapies with precision
• Manage complex medical equipment and ventilator support systems
• Provide direct patient care including wound management, hygiene, and comfort measures
• Document patient progress accurately through electronic health records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support families through critical illness and recovery phases

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in good standing (New York or multi-state endorsement)
• Minimum 1–2 years of intensive care nursing experience
• ACLS and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple acutely ill patients simultaneously
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Flexibility and adaptability in a high-acuity care setting
