About the Role
As Assistant Nurse Manager in our Emergency Department at 31 Union Street, you will partner with nursing leadership to deliver excellent emergency care and maintain high standards of clinical practice. You'll oversee daily departmental operations, support your nursing team, and contribute to positive patient experiences during critical moments.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and mentor emergency nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Coordinate nursing care delivery and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards
- Participate in staff scheduling, development, and performance management
- Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement programs
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Manage departmental operations and resource utilization
- Contribute to continuous improvement and process enhancement projects
- Provide leadership and clinical support during high-acuity patient situations
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut
- Significant experience in emergency nursing
- Leadership and clinical judgment skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, dynamic environment
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
- Knowledge of emergency department operations
