Talent Acquisition- Maternity Cover

About This Role

We are representing a confidential fashion retail organisation seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for a maternity cover assignment in London. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity of approximately 12 months, with a hybrid working pattern of four days in the office and one day from home.

Our client operates across the UK and Ireland retail market and is looking for an energetic, proactive recruiter to support their retail management population. This role sits within their central London Talent Acquisition team and offers genuine autonomy, creative freedom, and the chance to shape recruitment strategy while building strong talent pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for retail management positions across the UK and Ireland
• Proactively source and engage talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Recruitee and innovative new channels
• Build relationships with candidates and provide a transparent, engaging candidate experience from first contact through to contract
• Partner closely with HR Managers and Area Managers to understand team needs and store requirements
• Conduct one-to-one interviews, group interviews, Recruitment Days and employer branding events
• Visit stores, markets and events to stay connected with the retail landscape and identify top talent
• Build proactive talent pipelines ahead of business need
• Contribute to creative Talent Acquisition projects including recruitment partnerships, employer branding initiatives, talent strategy development and digital campaigns
• Continuously improve recruitment processes and identify alternative approaches when needed

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 2–3 years of recruitment experience within retail with strong knowledge of the UK market
• Proven experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and genuine passion for proactive sourcing
• Ability to connect authentically with candidates and convert initial conversations into genuine interest
• Strong eye for talent with confidence assessing potential beyond CV matching
• Understanding of fashion and retail sectors with curiosity about brands, competitors and market trends
• Strong communication skills with energy and personality
• Confidence working with demanding stakeholders and ability to challenge constructively when appropriate
• Creative problem-solving mindset and refusal to accept "there are no candidates" as a final answer
• Autonomous working style with ability to take ownership and bring ideas proactively
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple recruitment processes, stakeholders and projects simultaneously
• Experience with Recruitee, Indeed or similar recruitment platforms is advantageous
