About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential international manufacturing organization with approximately 1,800 employees across multiple locations. Our talent team is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator with a focus on network and security infrastructure to join their team in Sindelfingen.

This role offers the opportunity to work with modern infrastructure across multiple sites, taking ownership of network security, virtualized environments, and strategic IT projects in a hands-on capacity.

Responsibilities

• Administer and develop network and security infrastructure across multiple locations from the Böblingen base
• Manage and configure firewall environments, including ongoing development of firewall rulesets
• Administer LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, routing, and switching infrastructure
• Contribute to planned network segmentation initiatives
• Administer virtualized Windows Server environments, particularly Active Directory, GPO, DNS, and DHCP
• Support development of IT security strategy, with future involvement in OT security topics
• Manage and develop Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Intune, Teams, and SharePoint
• Participate in infrastructure projects including datacenter, cloud, and system migration initiatives
• Take ownership and independently manage smaller IT projects
• Provide occasional first-level support coverage during colleague absences

What We're Looking For

• IT degree, apprenticeship, or comparable qualification in information technology
• Several years of experience in IT systems administration and infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, routing, and switching
• Experience administering firewalls; Fortinet/FortiGate experience strongly preferred
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory administration
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune is advantageous
• Hands-on mentality with willingness to take responsibility beyond your core technical specialty
• Excellent German language skills and good English proficiency required

Working Arrangements

• Location: Sindelfingen, Germany
• Hybrid work model with up to 2 days remote work per week
• 40-hour work week with flextime arrangements
• 30 days annual leave
