Senior UX Designer – Star Trek Fleet Command

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading mobile gaming studio, is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join their established 4X strategy MMO team on a remote basis in the UK. Working through Get A Job.ai, you'll help shape the user experience for a top-grossing mobile title.

In this role, you will:

• Own and deliver complete UX for new features and player experiences, turning concepts into fully developed designs that meet product experience targets
• Develop deep knowledge of the game to effectively step into players' shoes and ground design decisions in real player perspectives
• Visualize ideas by producing sketches, low to medium fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive UX prototypes that communicate design intent
• Research and analyze relevant references, deconstructing them to uncover inspiration and identify common pitfalls
• Apply critical thinking to identify weak points in designs, gaps in thinking, and opportunities to better deliver on goals
• Collaborate closely with product teams, game designers, and artists to refine ideas and maintain alignment throughout development
• Leverage feedback, data, and insights to make intentional refinements and improvements to designs
• Support long-term product and UX consistency by establishing and following design principles, practices, and standards

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience specializing in game UX development, with a proven track record of delivering features from concept to implementation
• Confidence navigating ambiguity, with the ability to identify next steps, recognize blockers, and take initiative to move work forward
• Solutions-oriented mindset that brings thoughtful, creative problem-solving beyond simply identifying issues
• Strong understanding of game development pipelines, including how to design within technical constraints, implementation realities, and cross-discipline workflows
• Genuine passion for both playing and making games that fuels thoughtful, player-centered design
