About This Position
Bosch is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, development, and integration of AUTOSAR-compliant base software for automotive embedded systems. You'll work at the core of our software stack, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance across diverse vehicle architectures. This role offers the opportunity to shape automotive software innovation whilst working with cutting-edge technologies and world-class teams in a collaborative Bengaluru engineering centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AUTOSAR base software components for embedded automotive platforms
- Write and optimise C/C++ code for microcontroller-based systems with strict real-time constraints
- Conduct software architecture reviews and ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety requirements
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate software performance and functional correctness
- Troubleshoot complex software integration issues and deliver robust diagnostic solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
- Document code, design decisions, and technical specifications for long-term maintainability
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven expertise in AUTOSAR architecture, BSW (base software) layers, and automotive OS integration
- Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development
- Hands-on experience with microcontroller development tools, debugging, and diagnostic protocols
- Strong understanding of automotive software standards (MISRA, ISO 26262 functional safety)
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems and timing-critical software design
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of automotive software development experience at or above senior level
