About This Position
Lakshya Digital is seeking an accomplished 3D Hard Surface Artist to create high-quality game assets for current and upcoming projects. You'll be responsible for designing and building rigid, mechanical, and architectural elements that bring immersive game worlds to life. This is a full-time, on-site role where you'll work alongside a talented team of artists, designers, and engineers, contributing to projects that reach millions of players worldwide. If you excel at translating concept art into compelling 3D geometry and take pride in detailed, optimised assets, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 3D hard surface models including props, weapons, vehicles, environmental structures, and architectural elements
- Develop high-quality textures and shaders that enhance visual fidelity while maintaining optimal performance
- Collaborate with concept artists, technical artists, and designers to ensure assets meet creative and technical specifications
- Optimise models and textures for real-time game engine performance and memory constraints
- Maintain consistency with established art direction and visual style guidelines across projects
- Participate in peer reviews and constructive feedback sessions to elevate team output
Requirements
- Proven experience creating hard surface assets for professional game development or visual media
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard 3D modelling software (such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max)
- Solid understanding of texturing workflows and PBR (physically-based rendering) principles
- Hands-on experience with game engines (Unreal Engine or Unity)
- Portfolio demonstrating technical skill and visual quality in hard surface work
- Ability to work effectively within a team and take direction from art leadership
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, production-ready assets
