Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential software organization seeking a Software Architect to take central responsibility for the architecture of complex, high-availability systems. In this role, you will analyze technical and business requirements, develop sustainable architecture concepts, and ensure systems remain scalable, secure, and future-ready. You will serve as a connecting element between development teams, business units, and clients.

• Work actively on demanding, complex software and high-availability systems
• Analyze complex requirements from clients and business departments, deriving forward-looking, economical, and secure architectural guidelines
• Plan, design, and create sustainable concepts for distributed, service-oriented systems
• Conduct regular architecture and code reviews to ensure compliance with standards, maintainability, and security guidelines
• Support and advise business departments and system development teams on all software architecture questions
• Design, maintain, and document modern infrastructure and software architectures, particularly in orchestrated environments
• Continuously develop expertise in new technologies and frameworks, evaluate them, and test prototypes as needed
• Maintain a holistic view while actively working hands-on with systems and interfaces when required

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification with deep IT background
• Strong or very strong knowledge in software architecture and software design
• Solid, proven experience working with Linux
• Strong expertise in orchestrated environments (e.g., container orchestration), ideally with experience in Docker, Ansible, or common monitoring tools (Grafana, InfluxDB)
• Natural proficiency in structuring distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convincingly convey concepts and review results
• Fluent German language skills, good English proficiency, and willingness for occasional project-related travel
• Broad knowledge of architecture principles, design patterns, and abstract concepts that you can confidently map to practical business requirements
