Robotics Software Engineer – Grasping

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential robotics organization seeking a talented software engineer to develop cutting-edge algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation in industrial settings. In this role, you will:

• Design and implement robust, production-ready algorithms for robotic grasping and manipulation systems
• Identify opportunities to apply advanced robotics research to solve practical industrial challenges
• Transform complex technical requirements into reliable, functional solutions for manufacturing environments
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of core robotics software frameworks
• Integrate and validate solutions across diverse industrial tasks in collaboration with roboticists and application engineers
• Build intuitive software abstractions that enable users to execute complex manipulation tasks without requiring deep technical expertise

What we're looking for

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in robotic manipulation
• Strong foundation in linear algebra, spatial transformations, and rigid body dynamics
• Direct experience testing and iterating on physical robots in hardware environments
• 3+ years of professional experience programming robotics software in C++ and Python
• Proven track record of shipping production-quality code

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or related field with focus on robotic manipulation
• Deep expertise with machine learning frameworks such as JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
• Full-stack robotics experience spanning kinematics, motion generation, system integration, and testing
