Software Engineer, DevEx

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI technology organization seeking an experienced Software Engineer, Developer Experience to join their Paris-based engineering team. This role centers on building automated, efficient development workflows and maintaining secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure. You'll partner directly with product engineering teams to accelerate development velocity through robust CI/CD pipelines, faster builds, and streamlined release processes.

Responsibilities

• Build, monitor, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and accelerate deployments
• Design, operate, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure multi-cloud infrastructures
• Identify improvement areas and create innovative solutions that enable high developer velocity
• Standardize DevOps practices to ensure consistency across all engineering teams
• Establish measurable KPIs for security performance, reliability, and compliance adherence
• Partner with development and operations teams to embed security into daily workflows
• Lead training initiatives to upskill teams on secure coding, threat modeling, and incident response
• Champion a security-first mindset, driving cultural adoption of DevSecOps principles across the organization
• Improve CI/CD and build systems, optimize cloud registries (Docker, Azure, GCP)
• Implement static and dynamic code analysis tools and automated vulnerability analysis

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of successful experience in DevOps, Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, Internal Tooling, or SRE roles
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Go, Python) and software development best practices
• Demonstrated experience in developer workflow optimization, tooling and automation for productivity, and real-time developer support
• Solid Site Reliability Engineering background: CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability
• Exposure to multi-cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-premises environments)
• Familiarity with security tools and approaches: OWASP, SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability scanners
• Proven problem-solving and communication skills with ability to contextualize risks and gain buy-in for high-impact solutions
• Strong ownership mentality, high agency, and desire to improve systems and workflows for others
• Autonomy and self-drive with ability to thrive in fast-paced startup environments
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
