Senior Vice President Operations

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential European e-commerce organization in their search for a Senior Vice President Operations based in München, Germany. This is a critical executive role overseeing multi-country operations across fulfillment, supply chain, last-mile delivery, and customer operations for a rapidly scaling business.

You will own end-to-end operational strategy and execution across multiple markets, driving performance, scalability, and continuous improvement while partnering directly with executive leadership on company strategy and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead group-wide operations strategy and execution across all markets, ensuring consistent performance and readiness for future growth
• Align and direct local COOs to deliver high standards across fulfillment centers, supply chain, warehousing, last-mile delivery, and customer operations
• Own operational P&L performance and drive year-on-year improvements in productivity, efficiency, and cost
• Establish and maintain group-wide standards for safety, quality, reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational performance
• Build scalable operations that support growth without compromising customer experience
• Ensure new markets and fulfillment centers launch on time and operate effectively from day one
• Partner with the executive leadership team on company strategy, financial planning, budgeting, and investment decisions
• Lead major transformation, automation, and continuous-improvement initiatives
• Strengthen business continuity, risk management, and regulatory compliance
• Develop and inspire senior operational leaders across countries and functions, building a culture of accountability and customer focus

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record as a COO, SVP Operations, EVP Operations, or equivalent senior operational leader
• Significant experience leading complex, multi-country operations
• Deep expertise across supply chain, fulfillment, warehousing, last-mile logistics, and customer operations
• Strong P&L ownership and financial acumen
• Experience building and scaling operations in high-growth environments
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with disciplined, hands-on execution
• Strong track record of improving operational performance, productivity, and profitability
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to align senior teams across countries and functions
• Confidence working directly with founders, CEOs, boards, and executive leadership teams
• Ability to create clarity, accountability, and pace in complex organizations
• Willingness to travel regularly to company headquarters
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage
