Responsibilities
- Independently calculate current and deferred taxes for group financial statements under HGB and IFRS (IAS 12), including ETR reconciliation and preparation of tax disclosure notes as part of the fast-close process
- Prepare corporate income tax returns for German group entities
- Communicate professionally with tax authorities and actively manage tax audits
- Participate in and lead tax projects, including deep dives into specialized income tax topics, contributions to the Tax CMS, and optimization of interfaces in tax workflows
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (Accounting, Controlling, Legal, FinTech) and coordinate external tax advisors both domestically and internationally
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed degree in Economics, Law with focus on Tax Law, or comparable qualification (completed tax advisor examination is a plus but not required)
- Minimum five years of practical experience within a corporate tax department or comparable role at a Big Four or mid-sized tax advisory firm
- Strong, proven knowledge of German corporate income tax law (including tax groups and loss utilization) as well as tax accounting under HGB and IFRS (especially IAS 12)
- Enthusiasm for tax project work, affinity for digital tax processes, and willingness to thoroughly familiarize yourself with new income tax topics
- Solution-oriented, structured, and independent working style in a dynamic environment with the ambition to drive initiatives forward autonomously
- Fluent German and English skills, plus proficient use of common ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft BC, LucaNet) and tax reporting tools
