We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an AI Engineer to join their fully remote team in Germany. This is a production-focused role where you'll build scalable AI solutions that solve real-world problems across multiple domains including large language models, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Our client values engineers who combine strong machine learning fundamentals with practical deployment skills. You'll own the full lifecycle—from data preparation and model development through evaluation, deployment, and MLOps—while working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI systems for production applications at scale
- Build and optimize AI models customized for domain-specific use cases
- Develop data mining, preprocessing, feature engineering, and data-labeling pipelines
- Work with large datasets to ensure high-quality training and evaluation data
- Apply machine learning techniques across LLMs, NLP, computer vision, and emerging AI domains
- Train, evaluate, and continuously improve models based on performance metrics
- Design and maintain MLOps pipelines supporting reliable production environments
- Deploy and serve models using cloud platforms and containerized environments
- Analyze model performance, identify limitations, and implement improvements
- Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience building and deploying ML/AI models in production environments
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Practical experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow
- Experience designing and architecting custom AI or machine learning models
- Hands-on knowledge of LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or another relevant AI domain
- Strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning architectures, optimization techniques, and model evaluation metrics
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, data mining, and data-labeling pipelines
- Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS Lambda or similar) for model training and serving
- Experience with Docker and containerized model deployment
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development practices
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Curiosity-driven mindset with comfort working in an evolving environment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams
