Senior Project Manager für digitale Verwaltungsprojekte – Migration und Inneres (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential public-sector digitalization consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives in migration and interior administration. You will deliver complex IT and digitalization projects of significant societal impact, managing scope, timeline, budget, quality, and risk throughout the entire project lifecycle.

In this role, you will coordinate interdisciplinary project teams working across various technological contexts—from digital administrative services and specialized applications to content management systems, form management platforms, and custom IT solutions. As the central interface between internal and external stakeholders, you will work closely with public administration clients, translating their requirements into viable IT solutions and digital processes. You will guide implementation from initial conception through successful go-live, while identifying opportunities for ongoing development and improvement of existing projects and solutions.

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in project management for development or digitalization projects, with proven ability to manage projects independently end-to-end
• Demonstrated experience leading interdisciplinary project teams and taking full responsibility for scope, budget, timeline, quality, and risk management
• Ideally, prior experience with public administration digitalization projects and/or domain knowledge in migration and interior administration topics
• Strong customer orientation with excellent communication skills across all levels of project organization
• Proficiency in agile and/or traditional project management methodologies; experience with scaled agile frameworks or hybrid project setups is a plus
• Relevant project management or agile certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, Scrum PSM/PSPO preferred
• Completed university degree
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Based in or willing to work from München
