Senior Platform Engineer – K8s and Delivery (d/f/m)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Platform Engineer specializing in Kubernetes and delivery systems. In this role, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes-based solutions, clusters, and supporting AWS infrastructure that enable engineering teams to run applications reliably at scale
• Collaborate closely with security teams to maintain and strengthen the organization's security posture across cloud infrastructure
• Continuously improve CI/CD systems and concepts, enabling product teams to safely and efficiently deploy applications on AWS-managed services and Kubernetes
• Serve as the subject matter expert on Kubernetes and CI/CD, guiding infrastructure engineers in best practices for container orchestration, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
• Partner with product teams in implementing new infrastructure and services, providing valuable insights and implementation recommendations to ensure successful project delivery
• Research and implement new features, tools, and services in the infrastructure and tooling landscape
• Participate in internal team rotation to support day-to-day operations and address technical challenges

What We're Looking For

Our client needs an experienced platform engineer with deep Kubernetes expertise and a track record of building developer-friendly infrastructure:

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and managing Kubernetes solutions and supporting AWS infrastructure, with strong ability to balance cost, performance, usability, and maintainability
• Extraordinary Kubernetes and infrastructure troubleshooting skills—you should be comfortable diving into the control plane, drivers, and networking components to identify complex issues
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines, ideally including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitOps tooling
• Solid knowledge of networking, security, monitoring, and Linux system administration; experience in telecommunications or connectivity domains is a plus
• Valid Kubernetes CKA certification is required; CKS certification is highly desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset with empathy for developer experience and a focus on continuous improvement
