Senior Full Stack Engineer — TypeScript / Next.js (100%, m/f/d)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization in Berlin that is building modern digital platforms for regulated financial services across the DACH region. This is a senior full-stack engineering role where you will own the customer-facing platform for their German market, working on multi-step application journeys, compliance-critical workflows, and production-scale portals serving real users.

You will work in a small, senior engineering team where your architectural and implementation decisions have direct product impact. This role sits at the intersection of fintech regulation, modern TypeScript tooling, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the German market implementation on the customer-facing platform, including credit and compliance requirements, dealer flows, German-language content, and acceptance criteria
• Design and build the complete digital application journey: multi-step forms, validation, resumable state, document upload, KYC flows, and error-handling paths
• Build and maintain customer, dealer, and operations portals, including operational dashboards and case-routing logic
• Write use-case and API layers following clean-architecture standards — this is a true full-stack role, not UI-only
• Own field-level mapping into CRM and process-engine integrations where precision is a compliance requirement
• Author specification-driven change proposals and serve as the named approver for journey and mapping changes in the German market
• Grow end-to-end test coverage on critical user journeys to enable autonomous agent-driven development
• Collaborate with backend teams on orchestration integration and with platform engineers across multiple markets
• Communicate clearly in German and English with engineering peers and business stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of full-stack TypeScript engineering with recent production experience in React and Next.js App Router (server components, server actions, route handlers)
• Fintech experience is mandatory: production work on a regulated financial product (leasing, lending, banking, payments, or insurance) where money moved and regulatory oversight applied
• Proven ownership of complex multi-step onboarding or application flows: validation strategy, partial persistence and resumption, conditional branching, document upload
• Real backend capability: use cases, repository implementations, API handlers, PostgreSQL/Prisma queries (approximately 60/40 frontend/backend split)
• Strong state management and data-fetching maturity (Zustand or equivalent, TanStack Query)
• Confident use of form and schema tooling (Formik or React Hook Form with Zod), including server-side validation parity
• End-to-end testing experience with Playwright or Cypress on stateful, integration-dependent flows
• AI-first engineering mindset: daily use of coding assistants and agents on production work, with the ability to write change specifications precise enough for agent implementation and human verification
• Working understanding of German regulatory environment for consumer credit or asset finance (BaFin context, AML/KYC obligations, consumer-credit disclosure) is a strong plus
• Internationalization experience — no hard-coded strings, awareness of multi-locale layout and copy challenges
• Fluent German and English required

Location and Working Arrangement

This role is based in Berlin, Germany with a hybrid arrangement requiring 2-3 days per week in a coworking office (Stresemannstrasse area). The position offers 100% full-time employment and includes a remote work policy allowing up to 4 weeks of remote work from anywhere worldwide.
