Senior Associate Operations (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consulting firm seeking a Senior Associate Operations professional to join their team in München. Our client specializes in Operational Excellence transformations across manufacturing and industrial sectors. This is a permanent position with frequent client site work during the week and office collaboration on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Lead project modules independently focused on Operational Excellence initiatives, particularly within manufacturing environments including automotive and mechanical engineering sectors
• Analyze value chains and business processes to identify efficiency opportunities and improvement potential
• Develop customized improvement concepts utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and similar methodologies
• Support the cultivation of long-term client relationships and develop deep understanding of operational challenges
• Collaborate closely with project managers and both internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to cross-functional topics including Strategy, Supply Chain Management, and Procurement
• Help strengthen the firm's thought leadership in operations consulting across key industrial sectors

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree from a recognized university
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in management consulting or in an operations role within an industrial company
• Proven track record of independently managing project modules in Operations across multiple industries
• Strong understanding of operations processes with interest in Lean methodologies, production optimization, and digitalization
• Industry knowledge in Automotive, Mechanical and Plant Engineering, or Defence & Aviation is highly valued
• Fluency in German and English required; additional languages are a plus
• Analytical and structured thinking combined with strong interpersonal skills and situational awareness
