Senior Full-stack Engineer (Elixir/React) – veterinary software company – (Remote – Mexico)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential veterinary software organization that is transforming how animal hospitals deliver patient care and support their clinical teams. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer to join their remote engineering organization serving clients across Mexico.

This is a fully remote role for candidates based in Mexico with strong English fluency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of software projects from scoping through production release
• Collaborate closely with product stakeholders to plan work, guide scope discussions, and estimate complexity
• Design efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions for a modern SaaS platform
• Build full-stack features using Elixir for backend services and React for frontend interfaces
• Mentor junior engineers and help define technical direction for the team
• Provide accurate progress updates and lead collaboration with cross-functional teammates including QA
• Research and resolve complex technical issues impacting end users
• Stay current with industry best practices in software design, development, testing, and deployment

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience building modern SaaS applications in a professional environment
• Deep expertise in Elixir/Erlang or another functional programming language for backend development
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL API design and implementation
• Strong proficiency with React for building user interfaces
• Proven experience with relational databases, including schema design, query optimization, and efficient data access patterns
• Fluent English communication skills for collaboration with distributed teams
• Based in Mexico with authorization to work in the country
