About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical device organization based in Aachen, Germany, that is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist (m/w/d) for prototype manufacturing. Our client develops innovative surgical implant solutions and requires an experienced professional to support their prototype development and production processes.

This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced materials and contribute directly to product development in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Independent manufacturing of prototypes on CNC-controlled milling and turning machines
• Creation and optimization of CNC programs, considering specific material properties, including use of CAM interfaces
• Selection and specification of appropriate tooling for prototype production requirements
• Collaboration on design optimization based on manufacturing and testing results
• Production-accompanying dimensional control of prototypes and adjustment of manufacturing parameters as needed
• Maintenance and care of machines and tooling
• Close collaboration with the development department in implementing prototypes and transitioning to series production

What We're Looking For

• Completed apprenticeship as Zerspanungsmechaniker (m/w/d) or comparable qualification
• Proven experience with CNC milling and turning machines
• Knowledge of machining magnesium is desirable; experience in prototype and series production is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of CAD and CAM applications, ideally SOLIDWORKS and SolidCAM
• Confident reading and interpretation of technical drawings and routine use of measuring instruments
• Team player with independent, structured, and precise working methods
• Reliability, strong quality awareness, and willingness for continuous professional development
• High initiative, pronounced independence, and solution-oriented hands-on mentality
