Senior Full-stack Engineer (Elixir/React) – veterinary software company – (Remote – Brazil)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential veterinary software organization that is transforming how animal hospitals deliver patient care and support their clinical teams. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join their product development efforts remotely from Brazil.

In this role, you will architect and build modern SaaS solutions that serve thousands of users across veterinary practices globally. You'll take ownership of complex features from conception through delivery, working within a collaborative, cross-functional environment where engineers have deep domain expertise and autonomy to solve meaningful customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of software projects from initial scoping through production release
• Collaborate with product teams to plan work, guide scope discussions, and estimate project sizing
• Design efficient, reliable, and scalable technical solutions
• Build software using Elixir, React, and associated modern technologies
• Mentor junior engineers and help define their work assignments
• Provide accurate progress updates and lead engineering collaboration with QA teammates
• Research and resolve complex customer-reported issues
• Stay current with and champion industry best practices for design, development, testing, and software engineering

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience building modern SaaS applications
• Deep knowledge of Elixir/Erlang or another functional programming language for back-end development
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL
• Proven experience building user interfaces with React
• Strong relational database skills including schema design, query optimization, and efficient data access patterns
• Located in Brazil with fluent English communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of complex features and guide technical decisions

Pay
