AI Solutions Architect

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential alternative investment firm seeking an AI Solutions Architect to join their proprietary research team on a remote basis. Our client's research group partners closely with investment professionals to uncover insights through fundamental research, data science, and engineering techniques. This role offers the opportunity to shape how AI capabilities are adopted across EMEA teams within a sophisticated investment environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a forward-deployed solution architect partnering with EMEA teams to identify high-value AI use cases, understand research workflows, and shape practical solution designs
• Use lightweight proof-of-concepts selectively to validate value before larger build decisions
• Serve as the bridge between regional teams and firm-wide AI resources, translating team requirements into concrete product and platform requests
• Surface existing capabilities before teams reinvent solutions, and communicate regional priorities to central platform teams
• Lead enablement initiatives through teach-ins, prompt and tool literacy sessions, and best-practice sharing to help teams integrate AI into daily workflows
• Provide light-touch technical support to unblock teams with quick integrations or precise bug reports without owning core production systems
• Track adoption and impact with metrics, feeding insights back to teams building firm-wide capabilities

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in client-facing product, solution-engineering, or forward-deployed roles; early-stage or startup experience working directly with users is a strong plus
• Solid grasp of AI, solution design, and engineering best practices with judgment to assess feasibility and shape sound solutions
• Comfort with Python, modern LLM and agentic tooling including model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, and agents
• Experience with SQL and data systems; hands-on engineering experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree; STEM background or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Track record of gathering requirements from non-technical users and translating them into solutions people actually adopt
• Genuine interest in financial markets and investment research processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence to work closely with senior investment professionals
• Strong product instinct, bias to action, high energy, and comfort operating with ambiguity
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
