Senior Financial Crime Investigator – EU, Spanish & English

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Financial Crime Investigator to join their expanding EU operations. In this role, you will:

• Investigate complex or high-risk anti-money laundering alerts on business and retail accounts
• Recommend Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Make business onboarding decisions in high-risk or complex cases
• Conduct ongoing due diligence on high-risk business accounts
• Provide financial crime expertise and support to other operational teams across the business

Shift Options Available:

• Option 1 (Core Day Shift): 8.5-hour shifts scheduled between 07:00 and 18:30 (includes a 1-in-4 weekend rotation, with time off in lieu during the week)
• Option 2 (Late Shift): 12:00 – 20:30 (Monday to Friday, no weekends)

The start date for this role is January 4, 2027. You must be able to commit to the first 8 weeks of training Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm, with no time off authorized during this period.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates with:

• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal communication skills)
• Strong experience conducting high-risk business banking screening or complex business financial crime investigations
• Experience making independent, risk-based financial crime decisions in a regulated financial services firm
• Knowledge of the current financial crime landscape in the UK and the EU, and associated financial crime risks

This is a remote position based in the UK. Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process with our recruitment team.
