Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in Munich that is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex software projects from planning through successful delivery. In this role, you will take ownership of planning, controlling, and implementing demanding IT initiatives while building scalable structures and improving processes across the organization.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the planning, coordination, and successful execution of sophisticated IT projects
  • Managing resources, budgets, timelines, and relevant stakeholders across multiple workstreams
  • Serving as the critical interface between customers, consulting teams, product management, and development teams
  • Gathering and aligning functional requirements while ensuring structured project delivery
  • Developing and advancing processes, standards, and agile working methods to sustainably optimize the project landscape
  • Focusing initially on unifying existing processes and establishing scalable frameworks

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a strategic thinker who can confidently steer both technical and business stakeholders while taking ownership of meaningful organizational improvements.

Required qualifications:

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in IT project management, ideally within software, consulting, or financial services environments
  • Technical understanding of software development and software architecture
  • Strong communication skills when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, combined with a pragmatic hands-on mentality
  • Excellent German and English language skills
  • Proven ability to create structure, improve processes, and drive organizational change

Position Details

Location: Munich, Germany
Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position
Work Model: Hybrid with regular office presence (approximately 2 days per week in a modern central Munich office)
Pay: €80,000 to €110,000 gross per year (at the client level)
