About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential automotive technology client seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager to join their autonomous vehicle program management team in Munich, Germany. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of advanced driver assistance and self-driving systems through direct customer engagement and cross-functional leadership.
As part of our talent team at Get A Job.ai, we're seeking an experienced engineering leader who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology development and customer delivery. You'll manage the full lifecycle of safety-critical automotive programs, from requirements capture through product launch.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and launch programs for autonomous driving technology with major OEM customers
- Serve as the primary voice of the customer, ensuring successful product implementation and application
- Define and refine product requirements with deep technical understanding and hands-on validation
- Establish and manage working models and process structures across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Oversee delivery of software and hardware components from initiation through launch, aligned with customer program timelines
- Manage complex requirements sets (20,000+ requirements) including traceability, test coverage, and system architecture alignment
- Drive customer ticket resolution for critical driving functions and base technology, including evidence tracing and acceptance criteria negotiation
- Coordinate feature rollout for ADAS driving functions, performance testing, and issue management
- Implement process and technical improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Build and scale cross-functional team structures focused on new and existing product delivery
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing or leading software development projects or teams
- Customer-facing experience in automotive or safety-critical systems strongly preferred
- Proven track record managing large-scale requirements and complex system integrations
- Strong proficiency with modern program management tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Smart Sheet)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-organized approach to project management
- Outstanding communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in multi-cultural environments
- Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and its impact on future mobility
- Hands-on mentality with desire to experience products in real-world conditions
