Product Engineer – Frontend (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded construction technology startup in Berlin that is transforming how large-scale projects are planned and coordinated. Our client has achieved strong early traction and is backed by premier European venture capital.

They are seeking a Product Engineer - Frontend to join their small, high-performing engineering team. This is a hybrid role requiring 2+ days per week in their Berlin office, ideal for a product-minded engineer with 2-5 years of experience who wants to grow into full-stack responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement new features in a cross-functional environment
• Build and maintain user-facing components using Vue 3, TypeScript, and Tailwind
• Contribute to backend services and APIs as needed, with flexibility to shift focus between frontend and backend (ratios may vary from 50/50 to 80/20 depending on priorities)
• Participate in architectural decisions affecting the entire system
• Engage in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
• Work with senior engineers to implement best practices for development, infrastructure, and deployment

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong frontend fundamentals with TypeScript and modern frameworks (Vue experience is a plus)
• Commitment to code quality and building excellent user experiences
• Eagerness to develop full-stack capabilities over time, comfortable working across the stack as priorities demand
• Understanding of technical trade-offs related to scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with ownership and initiative
• Willingness to work on-site in Berlin at least 2 days per week (relocation candidates welcome)
