Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential digital commerce consultancy based in Frankfurt. In this senior-level role, you will develop modern, performant, and accessible e-commerce applications, taking features from concept through to production. You will serve as a technical implementation partner for clients, evaluating options, explaining complex architectural decisions clearly, and developing sustainable solutions collaboratively.
Your work will bridge business and technology: translating requirements and business goals into clear technical concepts, meaningful backlogs, and actionable solutions. You will design scalable e-commerce architectures, integrations, and technical roadmaps—from frontend through apps and APIs to middleware and connected systems.
You will take ownership of technical leadership for larger features and workstreams, make critical decisions, and reliably deliver results with your team. Beyond implementation, you will challenge existing solutions, provide feedback in code and architecture reviews, advance engineering practices, and mentor less experienced engineers through coaching and technical guidance.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of professional experience as a developer working on projects with complex application, integration, and service architectures—ideally in consulting or agency environments
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with experience in React, Next.js, or comparable technologies
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Enthusiasm for working with high autonomy in agile setups and actively sharing knowledge with the team
- Ability to understand customer requirements in the context of integrated technical solutions, with interest in taking on greater responsibility for technical design, quality, and successful delivery beyond coding
- Capability to translate functional requirements into technical concepts and structured, actionable work packages for the team
- Confidence in client interactions, preparing and presenting trade-off decisions (risks, quality), and clearly communicating solutions
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Very good German and good English language skills
