About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential consultancy that serves market-leading organizations across manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, and industrial sectors. Our talent team is seeking a Communications Manager to join their corporate communications function in Heidelberg. This role offers the chance to shape external messaging, build thought leadership, and work with a highly collaborative team in a B2B professional services environment.
You will report to the Head of Corporate Communications and partner closely with management, practice leads, and external agencies to elevate the organization's visibility and reputation in the market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute communication initiatives to strengthen positioning, visibility, and reputation
- Support media relations efforts by identifying newsworthy topics, crafting storylines, and coordinating placements in business and industry publications
- Create high-quality content across formats—articles, interviews, press releases, web copy, social media posts, and executive thought leadership pieces
- Contribute to thought leadership programs including studies, white papers, case studies, and awards submissions
- Own content strategy and execution for social media channels, ensuring consistent messaging
- Showcase successful client projects and position the organization in relevant industry rankings and awards
- Manage relationships with PR agencies, editorial partners, and other external vendors
What We're Looking For
- Degree in journalism, communications, media, marketing, political science, business administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of professional experience in corporate communications, PR, content marketing, or a comparable role
- Background in B2B, consulting, technology, or professional services strongly preferred
- Exceptional writing skills across multiple formats and channels, with a journalistic approach to storytelling
- Ability to translate complex, technical topics into clear, compelling narratives
- Interest in business, technology, and society; ability to quickly learn new B2B subject matter
- Understanding of digital communication, social media, and cross-channel content distribution
- Structured, autonomous, results-oriented work style with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High standards for quality in content, language, and external presentation
- Fluent German and English; comfort working in an international environment
- Team player with initiative, curiosity, passion for communications, and a drive to make tangible improvements
