Senior Backend Developer (C# .NET)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global technology organization seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their distributed engineering team. Our client operates across multiple international locations and delivers scalable software solutions that serve both internal users and external clients. This role offers the opportunity to work on systems that power core platform services and client-facing applications.

As part of our client's technology department, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals spanning multiple continents, contributing to products that simplify complex workflows and create intuitive user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of application development with emphasis on coding, debugging, and security standards throughout the development lifecycle
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and APIs supporting web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work alongside front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs, devising solutions to mitigate technical issues
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
• Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and guard against potential threats
• Develop automation tests and collaborate with automation engineers for comprehensive regression testing
• Provide personalized software support to users as needed
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance backend infrastructure
• Document application support procedures and operational workflows
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their professional development

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on building scalable and reliable systems
• Extensive knowledge of.NET C#, LINQ, MS SQL, Entity Framework, and related technologies
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience with web service protocols including REST and API design for extensibility and integration
• Proven experience debugging complex applications
• Experience with Agile development and project management methodologies
• Database development experience with SQL Server or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments
• Experience with Azure, AWS, RabbitMQ, and Quartz is advantageous
