Product Owner

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Product Owner to join their team in London. Our client operates in the wealth and asset management technology sector, serving financial institutions across multiple continents. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who understands both business requirements and technical implementation in the financial services domain.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with implementation consultants to document, deploy, and configure solutions for both new implementations and system upgrades
• Serve as product consultant and subject matter expert supporting customer implementations and internal engineering teams
• Translate customer business requirements into detailed product specifications for enhancements and extensions
• Conduct analysis and gather requirements for new product features and functionality
• Monitor regulatory changes impacting the product and customers
• Manage the product backlog and define user stories
• Participate in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering through testing and documentation
• Support pre-sales activities including RFI responses, demonstrations, and presentations
• Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to deliver high-quality software on time and within budget
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, organizing and leading regular status meetings
• Handle customer calls and incidents in collaboration with relevant teams
• Monitor and report on customer adoption and satisfaction

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Economics, IT, or equivalent experience
• At least 5 years' experience in the wealth or asset management sector
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Experience creating functional analyses from high-level scope definitions
• Experience with 3-tier application development structures
• Background managing projects focused on digital solutions, processes, or products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
