About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Application Advisor to join their managed services team. This role combines advanced Epic EHR technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting complex healthcare clients while mentoring team members.
Our talent team is looking for an experienced Epic professional who can provide expert-level troubleshooting, oversee system implementations, and guide both internal staff and client teams through sophisticated application challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem-solving to ensure integrity, integration, and stability of Epic applications for complex healthcare environments
- Fulfill system requests by performing issue analysis within assigned applications and across integrated systems
- Translate client needs into detailed requirement specifications and perform system build and testing
- Anticipate the impact of changes across applications and systems, managing those impacts proactively
- Oversee and participate in onboarding new team members, including orientation to client configurations and processes
- Explain complex system setups and impacts in accessible terms for both internal staff and client stakeholders, up to and including IT and operational leadership
- Create documentation that enables consistent process execution across the team
- Identify opportunities to delegate work to support team member growth with appropriate guidance and oversight
- Mentor and coach team members in technical skills and professional competencies including time management, communication, project management, and escalation
- Participate in on-call rotations outside of core business hours, including nights and weekends
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Epic Grand Central and RTE certifications (current and active)
- Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience implementing, training, or supporting Epic modules
- Proven problem-solving and technical skills in healthcare IT environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environments
- Experience with ticketing systems and change management processes
- Strong customer service track record
- Demonstrated sound judgment and appropriate escalation practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Epic Prelude certification and/or experience with well-rounded understanding of application functionality and integration points
- Knowledge of ITIL processes
- Prior management or project management experience
- Previous system implementation experience
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Located in the United States
