Management Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a boutique management consultancy with operations across multiple markets. Our client is seeking an experienced Management Consultant to drive business development efforts and support the growth of their consulting practice. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while building meaningful client relationships in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive client-facing activity by securing meetings with new contacts through email, messaging, telephone, and other business development channels
• Develop a thorough understanding of prospect clients' characteristics and needs, ensuring engagements encompass the full breadth of available consulting services
• Support business development activities including market research, branded events, and development of prospecting and sales capability
• Ensure client feedback and learnings are captured, shared, and acted upon to increase opportunity conversion and client satisfaction
• Help develop sales enablement campaigns and drive opportunities from marketing initiatives
• Represent the firm at industry events, forums, panel discussions, and networking opportunities to raise market profile
• Accurately record all business development activity, conversations, opportunities, and KPIs in relevant systems
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with timely follow-through

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MSc in a quantitative field is a plus
• 3+ years of experience in a sales-focused role within the consulting industry with demonstrable evidence of supporting closure of consulting contracts
• Experience working with businesses in Financial Services and at least one other industry such as Energy, Utilities, or Retail
• Deep knowledge and expertise in promoting consulting services in areas such as Strategy, Organisational Design, Business/Process/Digital Transformation, Governance, Project Management, and Change Management
• Previous experience from strategy houses or global management consultancies with UK market exposure is considered a plus
• Strong knowledge of technologies and applications used in strategy consulting, HR consulting, business change, transformation implementations, and data management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working with senior- and executive-level professionals
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to work independently under pressure
• Detail-oriented, solutions-focused with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent business and commercial awareness
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn company-specific systems
