Senior Analyst, Data Operations and Analytics (all genders)

About This Role

Our talent team is representing a confidential client in the hospitality technology sector. We're seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Operations and Analytics to join their Data Office in Berlin. In this role, you'll serve as the critical link between data, product, and business teams, transforming complex business questions into clear insights, reusable data models, and actionable reporting. You'll help teams understand their customers and business performance while driving operational excellence through analytical rigor.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of hospitality business processes, systems, customers, and underlying data architecture to provide meaningful analysis and support operational excellence
• Build exploratory and reusable data models leveraging diverse data sources, creating insightful datasets, reporting, dashboards, and analytical recommendations for business partners
• Translate complex and ambiguous stakeholder questions into well-defined analytical requirements, approaches, and solutions that address core business needs
• Act as the bridge between the Data Office and broader organization, turning complexity into clarity through effective communication of assumptions, findings, limitations, and implications
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and data flows, using analysis to enable more informed decision-making
• Monitor and improve data quality by investigating discrepancies at the source, documenting findings, communicating impact, and driving continuous improvement
• Collaborate with the Data Office to establish analytical standards and best practices, improve documentation, and mentor junior team members
• Stay current with developments, innovations, and trends in data analytics, including machine learning models and large language models

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years in an analytical role with strong experience in data operations, business intelligence, reporting, or process optimization
• Proven track record translating business stakeholder challenges into technical requirements, analytical approaches, and practical solutions
• Excellent SQL skills with ability to work across complex data structures and multiple data sources; willingness to learn new tools and systems
• Experience developing data models, datasets, dashboards, and reporting that are accurate, reusable, and accessible to business partners
• Background in Hospitality, Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, Sales, or another operational business environment is advantageous
• Strong business acumen with ability to bridge technical challenges, analytical findings, and business strategy
• Excellence in tackling complex problems through meticulous research, structured analysis, critical thinking, and pragmatic solutions
• Meticulous attention to data accuracy and quality, with keen eye for spotting anomalies and investigating root causes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate complex problems and recommendations with clarity and impact
• Self-starter mentality with strong organizational skills and ability to drive projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with GCP, BigQuery, Dataform, Looker, GitHub, Salesforce, Segment, and Heap is a plus
