Regional SEO Team Lead

Responsibilities

We are representing a global digital services organization seeking a Regional SEO Team Lead to drive delivery and operational excellence across EMEA. This is a senior leadership position overseeing all SEO services including Technical, On-Page, and emerging AI-driven optimization (AIO/GEO/LLM) for a diverse client portfolio.

You will lead a regional SEO team, ensuring high-quality delivery within established global frameworks while adapting strategies for local market needs. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading all SEO delivery across Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, and AI optimization disciplines within the region
• Ensuring adherence to global SOPs, quality standards, and delivery frameworks while collaborating on process improvements
• Managing regional resourcing, capacity planning, and project prioritization across in-house and external resources
• Driving financial accountability: ensuring projects execute within budget, overseeing accurate time tracking, and maximizing resource efficiency
• Identifying upsell opportunities within existing accounts and supporting pre-sales with scoping and proposal development
• Managing and mentoring SEO specialists, establishing clear training agendas and SMART objectives for team development
• Participating in client strategy reviews, performance reporting, and quarterly business reviews to demonstrate value and support retention
• Fostering collaboration across Technical SEO, On-Page, Content, UX/CRO, and Paid Media teams for integrated delivery
• Championing AI and GenAI innovation, encouraging adoption of automation and AI-driven processes to enhance scalability
• Managing vendor relationships and outsourcing within approved guidelines to meet SLAs and revenue targets

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in SEO leadership roles with proven ability to manage technical and on-page optimization at scale
• Strong commercial acumen with track record of driving account growth, margin management, and profitability
• Deep expertise across Technical SEO, On-Page SEO, and emerging AI/LLM optimization strategies
• Demonstrated experience managing regional teams, including mentoring, capacity planning, and performance development
• Proven ability to work within global frameworks while adapting strategies for regional market requirements
• Strong client-facing skills with experience in strategic reviews, stakeholder management, and consultative selling
• Excellent project management capabilities including budget oversight, resource allocation, and SLA management
• Experience with vendor management and outsourcing models to optimize delivery efficiency
• Passion for AI innovation and practical application of automation tools to enhance SEO delivery
• Collaborative leadership style with ability to drive cross-functional alignment and process standardization
• Based in or willing to relocate to London, UK

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process based on experience level and will be competitive with the London market for senior SEO leadership roles.
