This is a full-time, in-person position on a focused assignment schedule offering hands-on experience with state-of-the-art MRI technology.

Role Overview

As an MRI Tech, you'll operate advanced magnetic resonance imaging equipment and position yourself as a vital member of the diagnostic imaging team. Working a 3x12-hour shift pattern, you'll perform imaging procedures, support patient safety and comfort, and maintain precise clinical documentation. This 13-week assignment provides real-world experience in a healthcare environment where quality and accuracy directly impact patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners and associated imaging equipment according to established clinical protocols
• Position patients safely and communicate procedural instructions with clarity and reassurance
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and monitor comfort throughout imaging sessions
• Maintain accurate imaging records and coordinate results with radiologists
• Adhere strictly to MRI safety protocols and contraindication screening
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nursing staff, and department personnel

What You Bring

• Current MRI Technologist certification or active ASMRT registration
• Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification preferred
• Solid understanding of MRI physics, safety principles, and patient contraindications
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong attention to clinical detail and commitment to imaging accuracy
