About This Opportunity
We are representing a rapidly growing financial services organization in London that serves established small and medium-sized businesses. Our client is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to lead in-life marketing strategy and drive engagement, retention, and revenue growth from their existing customer base.
This is a senior, generalist product marketing role where you'll set strategic direction and priorities, working hands-on to execute lifecycle campaigns across multiple channels. You'll be the decision-maker on what the team focuses on and why, partnering closely with product, data, compliance, and operations teams to deliver commercial impact.
Responsibilities
- Own the in-life marketing strategy and roadmap focused on extracting value from existing customers and driving cross-sell through activation, engagement, and retention
- Prioritize where the team focuses effort based on commercial impact, setting standards and frameworks for testing, targeting, and measurement
- Build and run lifecycle campaigns yourself across email, in-app, direct mail, and other channels, while guiding and quality-checking work from senior executives
- Identify moments in the customer journey—milestones, drop-off points, underused features—where marketing can improve outcomes
- Review performance data and decide what to scale, pause, or iterate, making changes yourself when needed
- Build strong understanding of customer behavior and feed insights back into the product roadmap, flagging friction and opportunities
- Partner with CRM, data, compliance, risk, and operations teams to plan and execute campaigns end-to-end
- Own the reporting framework for in-life success, including engagement, retention, cross-sell, and campaign performance metrics
- Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate analysis, drafting, and reporting
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years' experience in product marketing, ideally with time in lifecycle, CRM, or engagement/retention marketing
- Proven track record of setting direction for in-life or lifecycle marketing and prioritizing team efforts, not just executing campaigns
- Demonstrable experience designing and running activation, engagement, or retention programs that measurably moved metrics for existing customers
- Strong commercial and analytical instincts—able to read customer and campaign data, spot patterns, and turn them into prioritized action plans
- Confident working hands-on with CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar) to build, target, test, and measure lifecycle campaigns
- AI-literate and genuinely excited about using AI tools day-to-day for analysis, content drafting, and reporting
- Experience in financial services, SME banking, or regulated industries is a strong plus but not essential
- Excellent stakeholder management skills—able to influence and align cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Self-starter who can take lifecycle programs from idea to live campaign with minimal oversight
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where priorities shift and processes are still being defined
