Product Engineer / Software Builder (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential digital health organization based in Regensburg, Germany. Our client is seeking an experienced Product Engineer / Software Builder to join their development team and take ownership of features from concept to deployment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern web applications that directly impact healthcare delivery. You'll be building solutions used by thousands of medical professionals and millions of end users across Germany.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from initial concept and architecture through to production deployment
• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, CodeRabbit) to rapidly prototype and deliver production-ready code
• Challenge technical concepts and architectural decisions to optimize user experience
• Collaborate closely with product management and customer-facing teams to understand user needs
• Make pragmatic product decisions that balance speed to market with technical quality
• Validate and refine AI-generated code as part of your daily development workflow

What We're Looking For

• Strong full-stack web development experience with deep understanding of system architecture, data flows, scalability, and performance
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (PHP, Python, Node.js, or similar) – specific stack is less important than your ability to understand core concepts
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools as part of your regular development process
• Strong product sense with pragmatic approach to shipping features (pragmatism over perfectionism)
• Excellent communication skills in German, with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
• Ability to defend technical decisions with well-reasoned arguments
• Passion for seeing your work go live quickly and make real impact
